New valuers join Tennants

Tennants Auctioneers has announced the appointment of two new valuers to their team.

Scott MacDonald, Tennants head of the Harrogate Office and Senior ValuerScott MacDonald joins Tennants as head of the Harrogate Office and Senior Valuer, where he will develop the professional valuations service that Tennants currently offer and continue to build client relations whilst advising on items for auction. Scott’s previous experience in the auction business was at both Sotheby’s on Bond Street and Christie’s in St. James’s, where collectively he worked for fifteen years as a General Valuer and Valuations Manager.

Scott said, “I have been extremely fortunate to work at the high end of the London art world, where over the years I had responsibility for clients with internationally important collections. Through this I had the opportunity to travel to incredible places and work with wonderful people, helping to produce some hugely successful sales over the years. In search of an improved quality of life, I have been on the lookout for a position which would take me out of the capital, but where I could join an auction house with an international reputation and sales results to match.”

William McNab also joins Tennants as a General Valuer and Auctioneer following a move from Addisons Auctioneers in Barnard Castle, where he gained five years’ experience in valuations and on the rostrum.

Jeremy Pattison Managing Director said, “Both Scott and Will have joined Tennants with passion, energy and enthusiasm and we are excited to have them on board to further strengthen the valuations team.”
