Royce portrait ready to roll at Hansons

Sir Frederick Henry Royce portraitDerbyshire auction house Hansons is set to sell an impressive portrait of one of Britain’s greatest engineers, Sir Frederick Henry Royce in its Christmas Fine Arts auction on December 20.

The portrait of Sir Henry, the celebrated engineer and car designer who, alongside Charles Rolls and Claude Johnson founded the esteemed car manufacturer Rolls-Royce, shows him in formal attire, sporting a three-piece suit.

The portrait has an estimate of £1,000-£1,500.
